this time i think it’s erol alkan and the remix in general that’s up on offer….
erol alkan with a v. fine selection by the name ‘bugged in’ (out now in a store near you- highly-recommended) and the remix as a way to create newfound sounds…
i like remixes that i didn’t necessarily expect… of groups/ people you wouldn’t automatically pile together…
feist seems to be having fun putting together people you wouldn’t necessarily…
hence she opens today’s session…
erol alkan appears several times for the same reasons… and the rest well because they seem to fit…
will the roscoe remix mean that it can be considered for best of 2007 as well…?
i came across the comment recently… “but, i don’t like beats” and that has been echoing in my mind… and i don’t fully understand the comment… (it could be because i do like beats, but) it feels to me like a statement that is used to to explain away a genre… so if you don’t like beats well you may have already ruled out this (beat including) mix…
here the electro producer gets his/her hands on some guitar based track and fiddles the nobs or vice versa…
either way some pretty fine re-workings…

Cuando la gente se encuentra con este mensaje se suele quejar de repetitivo. Joe! hay días en contra de todo! es que nos quereis comer el coco? bueno, no se.. es verdad hay días en contra de todo. Pero esto no es en contra de la tele, la TV podría ser un super medio divulgativo, pero lo es para los malos y para los buenos por igual, por eso nos parece interesante hacer la prueba. Puedes pasar una semana sin tele? o lo que es lo mismo, puedes hacerlo sin echarla de menos??? si la respuesta es negativa es quizas porque tienes una adicción respecto a ella… por eso nos parece importante plantearse una semana sin tele, solo para saber que es eso. osea, cuanto tiempo llevas sin dejar de ver la tele una semana continua? Prueba por ti mismo/a.
Bueno, y dejandonos de chorradas, si veis la tele no veis posterHouse osea PROBADLO! vereis que nuevos horizontes surgen y que no es tan difícil. y dicho sea de paso, mis felicitaciones para los que ya lo haceis que se que sois… no muchos, pero que si…

Este lunes que era fiesta salí a dar un paseo. Como de costumbre caminé por la margen del rio, al final, en la desembocadura y de repente noté una fuerza que tiraba de mi, como un pájaro que volaba alrededor y me enganchaba con un lazo de rodeo. Al principio me asusté pero después fue un flipe…

Si, si, ya sé que he tardado un poco después de la primera compilación de JazzBar. Tener en cuenta que estoy muy ocupado con el día a día y no puedo atender todas vuestras peticiones, y además mi hermano es muy exigente y no me deja hacer cualquier cosa, pero aquí está el segundo volumen dedicado a este bar (el de mi hermano) que va creando cada vez mejor ambiente. El otro día apareció por allí una gente de Tarragona curiosos por ver como sonaba la música en el local y estubieron en un extraño no-parar bailarín que nadie comprende.
Espero que lo disfruteis como todos los hogans que por allí aparecen y sobre todo que escucheis la canciones en orden!
Por cierto, el de la foto de portada es Javi, mi hermano…
